My kids are in different schools, based on age difference. 1 school emailed to say no payment would be needed for April, whether they go back or not.
Other school still wants their money.

Ours giving us 1/2 off before and after care for the month.

My kid is still having school online. They aren't refunding anything.
I'm OK with it as long as they are paying staff.

The answer we were given was something along the lines of the teachers are still getting paid, blah blah blah. In other words, no dice.
Even though me and my wife are basically unintentionally home schooling our kids right now. I told my wife to just look at the school year as being over with, and it's just watered down homework to turn in. I really don't know what the expectations were when they decided to give a long break, but that's about the most one can expect at this point.

Officially school isn't closed, many districts are doing remote learning. My neighbor said her daughter has to be in full uniform and logged into the site by 8 am starting Monday.

It's gonna be no dice here with all the stuff they've done to facilitate distance learning....plus the teachers are still posting videos, lessons, and homework on Google Classroom. If you don't turn in assignments and such by uploading to Google Classroom you are considered absent.

my daughter is in Kindergarten, and we have been finishing her weeks worth of assignments in about an hour. Considering it costs around $6k per year, I feel like we are royally getting fricked. At the same time, if they had to issue a bunch of refunds the school might not make it, so we just suck it up

My point exactly. We have a kindergartner. Paying full price when we are now the teacher is insane. His teacher actually dropped off work for him for this week but they aren’t set up to teach online and the attention span isn’t long enough at that age to do it. My 3rd graded has online work to do but we get it done by lunch and then they have recess all afternoon.
They should realize that the school day is too long and not necessary.

Yeah mine paid for baseball registration and raffle tickets already. I better get a refund or win a boat in the raffle.
