Count yourself lucky. In Dallas it’s like $8-10 for a single milkshake at any of the newer ice cream places. Absolutely insane

I walked down to my favorite ice cream shop about 3 months ago and got my usual chocolate shake with peanut butter and marshmallow mixed in.
I say usual because it’s all I ever get, but I only get 1 or 2 per year so I’m not really up on prices.
It was $11 and change.
I was SHOCKED.
I might never eat a milkshake again
ETA: Wait you got TWO for $10?!

I think of it in terms of you can buy a half gallon of blue bell and a gallon of milk for 10 bucks. That would make 12 or more medium shakes……. It’s ridiculous how much money they are making.

What's your opinion of Martello Castle?

The funny thing is that doesn’t really sound expensive anymore. 5 years ago I might say yeah. $10 is nothing now.

The Yard Milkshake Bar is more than a milkshake, it’s an experience!
These things are $18.00 each

is it twice as expensive as it was 20 years ago?
Yes, and also consider that some places have gone the shrinkflation route too.
McDonalds used to have 32 oz cups for large shakes, now a large is 21 oz cup, small must be 12 oz cup. Luckily, I use the app to buy one and get one for 29 cents.
But the the real struggle is finding one with a working shake machine.
Also, I went to one Friday night not for a shake, but it took them 30 freaking minutes to get my order. Definitely, filling out the survey for a free buy one big mac and get one free.

Report back on this price when the minimum wage hits $15. Price will be higher than a giraffe’s arse
Posted on 11/19/23 at 8:39 am to JackieSonnier
If fatties like you didn’t make the demand so high the prices would come down.

So you live in Crowley.

At “Frosteaux’s”, wouldn’t it be a “Shaq”?
