Tell you what. Rummy is having a great golf tournament in October and for a good cause. Would you be willing to play in a foursome? With me? We can break bread, drink, talk and you can assess how "homely" I am. Or be shocked at what a 49 YO from hicksville NETx is.

Being very sincere here. Could be fun.

Me too. I asked about it in another thread the other day, and it seems we're just going on the assumption that that is the reason restaurants are struggling to find employees right now. I do think it is one reason, but I'm not convinced it's the ONLY reason.

My thoughts as well.

In some instances I am sure that someone with a big stimulus now has the means to be more selective with their employment. But that is a good thing, IMO. Especially someone who wants to find a position that doesn't beat his/her dick into the dirt to the point that it causes problems at home. If what it takes for gas stations, fast food restaurants, and bars to stay open is a fraction of the population with no other options, maybe we have bigger issues than we think.

Yall need to keep this bullshite away from that hallowed tournament.

Although a fight on the 8th tee box would make me pissing in the clubhouse fern after the round barely a footnote, so maybe this could work.

I sell materials handling equipment for a living. Our industry has seen multiple price increases this year and lead times are now hovering between 30 and 50 weeks. It’s usually 8-12 weeks. It’s going to be a really frickin tough year for us.

Well past the fighting stage. I can still hold my own in long drive, Bloody Mary's and bourbon, though. I can get a team to the green but I can't putt for shite.

My guess is the stimulus and expanded unemployment has largely become a scapegoat for restaurant managers, and people are just believing them. Then you have the entitled class that go out to eat and have a longer wait than normal for their food, so they just regurgitate what the restaurant managers are saying.

And certainly the restaurant industry isn't the only one suffering, but at least here it's been the most vocal.

Actually you are just making shite up. Link where someone called him a fiscal conservative. He continued the typical spending that was already being done, and was way out of hand.

In contrast, Biden wants to increase spending to levels not even imaginable.

There is a difference, and we don’t have to call trump a fiscal conservative to see it.

Like someone asked me, I have to ask here.

Which policy of Trump's has created the most good in your life?

Simple concise answer will do.

After years of decrying Obama’s stimulus, everyone hypocritically backed Trump’s, which was multiples larger.

It should never have been done.

And, yes, Biden and his admin are going to run with it.

I laughed when so many Conservatives threw, and continue to throw, their support behind Donald Trump. He is no Conservative. Hell, if this were 20 years ago he'd be called a liberal. Too many of those same people, not just here, bash sleepy Joe for his continuation of the same policies. They conveniently ignore that Trump's administration started this shite. However, we still live in a world with at least two guarantees: the sun will rise in the East, and Democrats will never be outspent by Republicans. The problem is, we just have two Democrat parties now, in regards to fiscal responsibility.

Right. Pretty much where my head is, but I don't know one way or another.

But many on the OT are hellbent on blaming those people who work split shifts, rotating schedules, and night shift for $12 an hour and not the business model that relied on those people.

Who is right? I have no clue.
