Greening disease is super impactful. Most consumers haven't heard of it. Regardless, it's destroying the US citrus crop. Have a friend that's a Ph D agronomist with a 30 acre retirement Satsuma orchard - been hearing about this for the last 4-5 years.

Kudos for being informed on that. Ain't the Devil - but it is unscrupulous folks in that biz - taking shortcuts.

This isn't a shock. The orange crop in Florida took a big hit from the Easter w/e freeze back in April and the Xmas deep freeze, a good portion of the crop was destroyed.

90% of the peach crop here in Georgia was wiped out from the same thing.

So Democrats were responsible for the Easter freeze that killed most of the crop?

Some of you are permanently damaged and look stupid when you have to make every GD thing political.

Try buying cold pressed OJ from either Sam's or Whole Foods. It's so good but it's like $10/quart.

Good. Totally unnecessary drink. Diabetes in a glass.

Fresh squeezed, from cold oranges right out of the ice box, heavy pulp, then returned to chill again for an hour, poured into a frozen juice glass?

That’s great hangover medicine.

It’s been a thing the growers out here in California have been fighting for over a decade. I think we’ve got it under control though. It’s a Chinese insect that carries the disease. Florida’s Valencia crop has been hammered and that is the juice orange. Florida’s Natural is now a blend from Florida, Mexico and Brazil. Valencias are grown out here, season will end in a month or so, but this is prime navel and every other variety territory.
