Did you see what color the car was that the shooter was in?
ETA: I heard the shots and looked and thought I saw a black male getting in a champagne colored car and driving away, but I could've been mistaken

If it was a black on black crime/murder, Baton Rouge media wont bother covering it. Too commonplace.

I'd say it's a little out of the ordinary for a guy to walk out into rush hour traffic and shoot a car anywhere south of Florida.

In other news the Central Walmart looked like north Baton Rouge tonight. It gave me anxiety.

Owned duplex’s off North Sherwood for years until I sold them a few years back. Pre Katrina it was going down. Katrina and the New Orleans culture speed up the process.
There was a time three black youths robbed a group of Latinos during some big soccer game party. They walked down the street with AR’s and shot up the duplex the Latinos were having a party in. Heard the noise while visiting tenants and dropped to the floor and pulled out my weapon it was bad. They took everyone’s cash and ran off after shooting a few Latinos. They had police, fire, and ems all over the place. Talked to the landlord the next day and he had to pull out all the Sheetrock in both sides of the duplex due to the damage. Blood and bullet holes reminded me of some of the top crime scenes in L.A. Nothing on the news.
There are a lot of shootings in BR that never make the news and it all starts on Friday night.

I lived in those apartments on the corner of Millerville and I-12. They had an amazing gym for an apartment complex. It wasn't too bad when I lived there, but I could see it was getting worse.

I don't work for EBRPSO or BRPD while I bet the can back this up.
SCATS and CATS if I am correct on the names use to patrol the high risk areas from the afternoon to little after midnight.
There are a lot of shootings, shots fired calls, or just some amazing wow events that go in certain areas of EBRP and The City limits of BR. Best one was someone stole a sewer manhole cover on S Choctaw near the Belaire High area one time. That is an amazing crackhead moment right there.
After having duplexes, living onsite for a few years in NBR, and owning homes in what is somehow now NBR they have alot of shootings that do not make the news in BR.
The shootings seem to increase on Friday evenings thru Sat while slowing down on Sunday there is a lot of activity out there.
I wished I would have filmed the female crackhead fights on a Sunday around lunch for you guys. It would have been golden. One event I pulled up a lawn chair with another land lord and we were eating Popeyes chicken watching it. They were talking about one of their babies daddies calling the other crackho itchy and scratchy. Then the other was bragging she was on welfare while the other one wasn't. WWE except in The City of BR, free just pull up a lawn chair, eat some Popeye's chicken to get the real ghetto experience, and enjoy.

They're still not too bad, according to a friend of mine. Gym is still great except that it's shut down because of COVID. The tenants aren't that bad either, just the occasional pitbull.
