My parents found a dead guy in some canals near I-10 at Laplace a while back. They had to follow him in their boat as he floated for 3 hours until they were able to locate them. My mom said they just kind of turned the other way and fished. The detective called my mom back a few days later and said he was a missing boater from a few weeks before.

I saw a what I sincerely thought was a dead guy at the bus stop bench at the corner of Burbank and the rouses, McDonald’s intersection . I stopped at the Sheriff’s substation on Burbank and I walked in and reported to the lady reading the newspaper what I saw.
She said that I’d have to report this to the city police since this was out of their jurisdiction.
I just stood there for a second thinking that she would atleast give them a ring.
So I said I guess I’ll just look the number up? She said yes.
I just walked out of there dumbfounded.
So I called the city police and they thanked me for notifying them and that they would look into it.
I legitimately thought the guy was dead.
She said that I’d have to report this to the city police since this was out of their jurisdiction.

One Sunday after an LSU game I went for a run which took me through Alvin Dark. Some kid was laying face down on the sidewalk.. I thought he was dead until he came to just as I was running up on him.

A cop just showed up and couldn’t wake him up either. He said he does have a pulse so he’s just taking a nap. Cop called EMS. Rough Friday night I guess
