You can't spell "SUCK" without "USC"

Academics ? USC and it’s really not that close but ucla is closing the gap in recent years. However , you’re talking private vs public .

Well, if you submit a 36 ACT score to UCLA, they won’t even consider it in admissions. They literally throw it in the trash can.

Hope that helps.

this but it also depends on major

but OP both are great schools. I promise you are not going to get turned down for a job because you choose one over the other

as far as campus....both are nice on campus but you may want to check on what parts of LA they are in and compare the areas.

One is in Bel Air and the other is in Watts. Where do you think it's better to be?

This is like asking which city is prettier. San Diego or Baltimore? USC is in the middle of a rough part of LA. UCLA actually has a campus and is in a much nicer part of the city. This question isn't even close.

As far as academics. I have no clue. I would imagine both are fantastic in the areas they concentrate on.

UCLA's campus is much bigger and the area around the two schools is obviously night and day, but Westwood isn't what it once was and the area around USC has significantly improved, especially up to downtown.

Once on campus, both are very nice

In terms of academics, if you want to go into the business community in LA and/or entertainment/film, USC

Everything else UCLA

you have this backwards. UCLA has always been academically superior to USC

I've been on UCLA's campus. It's really pretty. And across the street is Bel Air. Really tough to imagine a better place to place a college campus.

Never been to the UCLA campus but have attended many football home games at the Rose Bowl (excellent tailgate parties on the golf course).
My friend attended under a Rowing scholarship and became a teacher and is now retired.
UCLA is considered a Liberal school and the women are beautiful (until they graduate, get fat and dye their hair blue or purple).

Been to USC many times as my godson is graduating this week. He was attending the Jimmy Iovine- Andre Young Academy (The music producer and Dr. Dre) and most likely will stick around for his Master's.
Many cool buildings on campus.
Tailgate parties are held in the various grassy areas on campus then everyone migrates to the Colliseum.
Definitely in the hood.
