James K Polk is high on my list.

He had a list of objectives, accomplished them in one term, stayed true to his pledge to only run once, and left office.

"No president who performs his duties faithfully and conscientiously can have any leisure." - Polk

"It has been well observed that the office of President of the United States should neither be sought nor declined. I have never sought it, nor should I feel at liberty to decline it, if conferred upon me by the voluntary suffrages of my Fellow Citizens." - Polk

In the spirit of the holiday, who is your favorite president?

I miss this guy.

All of them had their faults. But I believe he was a leader. The old guy knew how to make the Dems- and the Soviets- scream.

I know some won't like it, but Obama or Clinton.

Obama isn't perfect, but we've made great strides toward ending inequality and promoting social justice. If he is able to free us from our gun obsession and fix immigration, he'll vault to #1 easily.
