I have a 3 and a half year old grand daughter that we are considering enrolling in preschool. We are looking for a safe place that will accept students 2 or 3 days a week. We are not from baton rouge, and do not know where to look.

Thanks for your help.

Trinity Episcopal alum here. The freeze tag I learned taught me what the real world was like. Bear tickets gave introduced me into the financial world at a young age. It really set me up for success.

Look at me now, I now have thousands of posts on a message board.

Huge decision.

Personally I'd pick the one with the highest tuition because the education children get in pre-school WILL directly affect which high level universities they meet admissions requirements for.

What hours? All day, mornings only?

Also, when will she turn 4? Most places enroll in the winter for the following school year starting in August, so if she turns 4 by next August, you'll probably need a pre-K program. Daycare facilities with preschool programs may have more immediate openings.

I know Parkview closed their initial application period on Dec 1 and their secondary application period is now open.

JUMP is only a few minutes away. Have the parents check it out.

Our daughters both attended Family Christian Academy on Bluebonnet. We were very pleased with the education they got and the way they ran things. Hell my 4yo had homework some days. Obviously nothing crazy but something once or twice a week.

I'm not sure if they only do a few days a week though. Seems like you are looking for more of a mothers day out program.

In that area, check out:
Country Day School (North Blvd)
Runnels preschool (Jefferson Hwy)
Ingleside United Methodist Church
Our Lady of Mercy Catholic School

Perhaps try those hippies at the Unitarian church on Goodwood.

Like I'm giving you a suggestion to where we plan to (and are already "paying") send our unborn children.

It's a PITA to get them in as it is.
