Law enforcement officers from around the Baton Rouge region met Friday morning to prepare for the eventual announcement from Attorney General Jeff Landry about whether his office will pursue charges against the police officers involved in the fatal shooting of Alton Sterling in 2016.

quote:

Preparations for an announcement about Sterling were among the topics that law enforcement officers discussed at the Friday meeting, according to BRPD spokesman Sgt. L'Jean McKneely.

“They said that they’ll give us enough notice so that we’ll be prepared whenever it happens," McKneely said about the conversations between BRPD and the Attorney General's Office. He said the notification has not come yet.

There is no indication whatsoever in that article that there is soon to be an announcement. It could be another year

Let's see law enforcement is meeting in advance to go takedown the two dirty cops, or they are organizing to protect the public from rioters and looters?

I wonder which one it is????

If nothing came from the last announcement outside of a few wannabe Black Panther retards, I’m not expecting much out of this.

The weather had a lot to do with that. It didn't really pan out for Gravy like he thought, so that's when he decided to go get his fat arse arrested at the MC meeting.

The fact that media was alerted that communication has started about the announcement. Is a way to foreshadow the outcome. Will let people start to realize over time that the announcement is coming and will let the community have an indication of the outcome. Will greatly defuse the initial reaction. Smart to do so.

Anyone with a brain knows that the actions were justifiable and were from the start. Not sure what is taking them so long, seems pretty cut and dry to me, especially if the facts about him having a gun in his pocket and reaching for it were true.

Announce the AGs findings in a discreet article in the newspaper on the same page as the Job Ads and it will hardly be noticed
