These “semi-discrete” cells between radar coverage may pose problems. That’s the most discrete that line has appeared all day, but it could just be the radar coverage.

Flying ATL to SHV at 10pm tonight. Praying this thing slows down. They’re already routing through southern Kentucky to get to Shreveport.

I wouldn't want to be on the devil's chariot flying through or around this thing?

Fiance flew SAV-DFW this morning on an A320 and said it was rough.

Shuqualak in Choctaw means beads. I have always heard it pronounced Shook Wa Lock. The near by community of Wahalak pronounced Wa Hey Lock

Seems the slow moving front and northward movement of individual cells is causing discrete cells to run out of available energy. Usually they move more eastward into untapped favorable air. Instead they’re going almost due north right into the convection north of them, and there’s nothing to feed the cells there.

Is he banned or dead? If banned what did he do this time? If he’s dead what happened?

Thats what i was getting at with the competition point. They are pulling in stable air off the rain south of them and pull north into rain cooled air too.

according to Andy... the meteorologist assisting Ryan Hall... models apparently had the storm moving too slowly

the rain is hitting the Mississippi/Alabama line right now... the models had it getting there 2-3 hours from now... so it's 2-3 hours earlier than expected

In the event of an emergency, put your head between your legs and kiss your arse goodbye.

Seriously though, safe flight. They landed 27 hours late because of the storm/maintenance/crew issues

possible tornado right in the middle of Scooba right now... there's at least a lot of rotation right over Scooba currently

I don’t think we will get discrete cells at all going forward but as always, I’m just a redneck reading screens so don’t bet on it

Keep an eye out in Sumrall, MS to the SSW. One of those cells in particular is starting to really get going.

Also, the cell headed to BR from the SW is getting some broad rotation going due south of Rosedale.
