While it is still likely we will see more tornadoes and possibly a strong one somewhere, I personally don't think the moderate risk has verified today. Either in placement of the moderate risk or in intensity of the storms.

at 1 point about an hour or so ago... there were 8 separate supercells lined up that all had that red bean look to them... and yet for whatever reason they weren't getting to the ground (thank goodness)

something in the dynamics kept them from reaching the ground

They called for discrete cells in MS and we got QLCS tornadoes

Now they’re saying QLCS tornadoes in Alabama and Alabama will get discrete cells.

Yes but still not 100% sure why. Competition between cells, with a south wind and the cells lined up S to N maybe they're sucking in rain cooled stability from around.

Too much speed shear as they go to rise? Tilting them too far and collapsing.

I always heard it pronounced Shuck-uh-lack from the good ole boys.

You have to remember these the same people that pronounce Pumpkin Center as punkin sinner.

Flying ATL to SHV at 10pm tonight. Praying this thing slows down. They’re already routing through southern Kentucky to get to Shreveport.
