That may be but I’ve always found it curious why anyone would choose to rely on a siren like that when the cell phone option works well and the weather radio option is cheap and works damn near perfectly

Sirens are designed and meant to warn those outside. They work for that, but should never be relied on for your primary warning method.

South ms looks to have a lot of small cell clusters. Might get lucky and this ends up a mess, limiting severe potential

We're a little ahead of schedule at this point, too.

They still do this? Wow.

Yup. Every day, at noon on the dot. I always know when it’s noon cause I’ll hear the sirens go off

God help us if we ever get a tornado at noon cause it will be ignored

I believe the Vicksburg warning put one down briefly just now. CC drop where it needed to be. Just on frame and gone now.

ETA: Definitely on the ground now.

We had a lot of lightning and heavy rain overnight. I don't think the wind blew much. We never lost power. Still raining pretty hard but the severe stuff seems to have moved on past us.

I'd be ready to hunker down on the North side of the polygon, too. There's a secondary rotation trying to form there, just outside the warning.

Hasn’t been bad at all just east of Lake Charles. It rains hard but there’s plenty of breaks between waves.
