In our efforts to flatten the corona curve we are also flattening our warm-weather flu exposure, reducing common exposure and overall antibody generation. Strains are going to hit like a mother fricker once everyone is back together.

Oh and in case you're hoping the vaccine will catch the right strains based on current events, this years vaccine has probably already been decided. Good luck everyone.

Stay safe out there in these uncertain times which we are all in together.

Going out on limb here but I think this years flu season is going to be mild compared to previous years. Because of CV people are much more aware of virus transmission. I expect people will continue washing hands thoroughly and frequently, some will avoid crowded places, and some... yes some... will continue to wear face masks. Masks are pretty common in some areas but expect it to be more common in Europe and the U.S.... especially in the larger cities that have been hit by CV.

Will be an uptick in people getting flu shots this year.

The severity of the upcoming season is a fluid scenario.

I’ll admit that your desire to jump ahead into the future is infectious.

Next year we still won’t have a CV vaccine. Flu will be mild because people will be still be taking precautions to avoid that. There still may be provisions against large gatherings unless CV drops to near undetectable levels.

Considering all flu deaths will probably be blamed on the rona, I would say yes

I hope this is incorrect but assuming it’s true:

IF the reinfection rate of COVID-19 proves to be zero (or statistically insignificant), those who have had the virus SHOULD be able to return to some sense of normalcy.

What doesn’t kill you makes you able to fraternize?
