Where does it stop? Is Andrew Jackson next? The Jefferson Memorial, the Washington Monument. Get a grip people. It is part of our history.
:keege:
I never in my life heard a quip about these monuments until Mitch opened his mouth. The whole thing is unnecessary and causing tension amongst people. I've spent considerable amount of time around Lee Circle for Mardi Gras and never heard anyone complain about that statue. I honestly couldn't tell you what the damn thing looked like until recently.
I'm sure that it will pass because there's no way in hell that any of the councilmembers are gonna vote no because it'll be political suicide. Especially Stacy Head, LaToya Cantrell, or Jason Williams if they're gonna run for mayor in 2018. That would follow them forever.

The statues come to life and rampage through the city, smiting down all those that would disturb their slumber.
Blood runs through the streets as Jackson and Lee exact their vengeance and make Mitch their bitch with metal cocks.

Next Thursday is when this issue really heats up with the city council
There will be a handful of people from both sides yelling outside City Hall, but nothing major will happen because New Orleanians of all colors generally have a DGAF attitude. Myself included.

Planned on visiting this fall for the LSU game. Don't really have any desire to do so now.
Didn't know NOLA was run by a bunch of morons. Figured with all of the gentrification going on someone knew what they were doing.
Guess I was wrong. Oh well... I'll spend a few days running up the shores of Bama and Mississippi instead.

I'm not too sure. This is gonna hit national media and I'm sure it's gonna bring down a lot of people on both sides. It's gonna be a shite show.
It seems like Mitch is really digging this whole "New New Orleans" thing. He might as well tear down everything before Katrina.

I am offended by the Zulu parade.
I think it should be ended.
I also feel that the dress by Mardi Gras Krewes is reminiscent of the KKK and should also be terminated.

Yes! No one can legitimately discuss anything other than your pet issue. This is awesome!

More likely that you will stay in Slidell and eat at Outback and Olive Garden while shopping at Walmart and then go home telling your friends that you experience south La.

It depends on what the Soros paid agitators do. Are they still in St.Louis, or do they go down there to stir shite up?
they have a bankroll to cause shite around the country.

Mitch bitch already fricked up by opening the door and letting it get this far, he can't slow it down now and will be fricked for any political future outside of shitty arse New Orleans.
So frick you Mitch. You could have been leader but chose to be a follower instead.

There will be a lot of lawsuits and the city will spend more money defending then than they will removing any statues. If they are removed, it won't be for a pretty long time.
