I saw that. I like him anyways.

Causeway police do suck, though.

this is a great troll effort, op.

It's like which is better? Life, or death?

Dude probably drives 40 miles to work everyday in an F-250 super duty that never gets dirty, doesn't know how to cook, uses starch in his jeans, and thinks he's a cowboy.

So, you're saying he's a Madisonville resident?

I saw our mayor got busted taking a leak on the causeway last week.

He was doing his part trying to keep the trash from the south shore from moving up here.

Now this is false. I absolutely love living in The Woodlands. He is correct that it is nice here. But he's wrong that Mandeville/Madisonville doesn't have its own perks. And yes my commute is ridiculous here, but it would be if I lived in Mandeville as well, so that's the one place that can't complain about Texas commutes. The Woodlands has its shite together just a little bit more than the Northshore, but the Northshore has more to offer such as the lake, Nola, etc..

I honestly have no clue how this got derailed into a Texas thread. I was merely saying that I thought the Northshore was comparable. In laws and friends still live there and zip enjoy going back. It's the only place I'd choose to move back to Louisiana for. (I'd go to Lafayette for work, but that's only if the money is right)

That's a good assessment, my fly off the handle was focused more on the people that try to be so In Your Face about the greatness of Texas. Compared to the northshore, most people (except for new transplants) don't seem to be so brash about it. It's a great place for many but not perfect by a long shot, e.g., the lack of nightlife and old-style culture. But anyway.

there are many places in the US i wouldn't mind living if i didn't have to work. Madisonville is one of them. Mandeville not so much. Like the quaint river town and the restaurants and bars there along the Tchefuncte river.

I live in Prairieville and I like it. Traffic is really the only major issue and that's easily mitigated by my schedule.

Given the way you describe your life I'd choose Covington. It's just nicer in my opinion. Better access to quality living as opposed to being around the hustle of BTR and Pville.
