Congrats to LSU Football/Houston Astros!!!

Just wanted to pass along we may see a landfalling tropical storm/hurricane along the Florida East Coast later in the work week (say by Thursday). Only 3 known landfalling hurricanes during the month of November - the last (and latest ever) was Hurricane Kate in 1985.

Hurricane Kate 1985

Cold front brings lows in the 40s down to the coast and kicks this out to the NE. Not a Louisiana threat, but it will bring a prolonged period of sustained onshore flow and coastal flooding to the Flordia East Coast.

Wait this isn't our normal hurricane crew? Ugh, riled up over nothing. Let me know when the experts chime in.

There is RDS to the rescue. Will it cross over to the West coast?

An expert like a meteorologist, who “get it mostly wrong”?

I'll need someone at TD HQs to approve a change order to allow work after 10/31

Looks like some people are mad at me because I started this thread before RDS/Duke (regular crew). My apologies for breaking rank. Just wanted to contribute (28 years as a meteorologist for the National Weather Service).

Nope, I have no issue with you. Other people seem to have a problem with meteorologists in general.

Account since '16, you should know that no one is actually mad; well, I'm sure Rag, wherever he is, is seriously mad

So you’re telling me the mad wasn’t real? It was just for attention?

Hopefully we can get into just how far away from a hurricane you can be and still count it. That’s always fun.

It was in jest… those that lend their expertise are deeply appreciated around here. The only people that would get mad at weather experts around here are abject morons.
