My daughter played Softball coaches pitch in Cy Fair Houston
-Our coach was great
-WE played 12 games (it was great)
-we kept score (it was OK)
-The season seceded us into a post season tourney (a little much)
- Were in the semi finals and a coach from another team came and SCOUTED us for the next game (insane)
- we played in the consolation game and the championship game ended in a fist fight between coaches ( we ate ice cream)

We were at a TBall game being officiated by a 16-y.o. girl. She made a bad call at 1st base, but it was a bang-bang play by the defense so it wasn't all that egregious of a call. Well, the coach goes ballistic and the parent behind home plate loses his mind. We try to get the game going again but the coach toes up to the girl umpire and bitches her out. He had to be escorted from the ball park by security. The retarded parent wouldn't be out-done though, and grabbed the fence behind home plate, shaking it an yelling at the 16-y.o. until he too was kicked out by security.
Over TBall people! TBall!!! 5 and 6 y.o. Tball players...

Youth baseball fields are full of trash. It's almost to the point where if I had a kid I don't think I'd let them play baseball, because I wouldn't want to hang around that many trashy people.

We we playing youth league football one time and it was first round of playoffs against the #1 team, which is the biggest school in the county. We went up 22 points in the 1st quarter but then the ref that was on our sideline(visitors) kept calling flags on every big play. If we scored a touchdown there was holding(in youth league there is holding almost every play) and every time they threw the ball it was pass interference. There was about 4 minutes left and we were up 28-24 and they had the ball. They ran a sweep to our sideline and we pushed him out of bounds but no whistle. He kept running and scored and we were all confused. My dad ends up being the fan that runs out on the field yelling at the ref. Never cussed but he got kicked out of the game and was escorted out. We lost the game
I remember afterwards he talked about how embarrassed he was. Said he would never do that again.
He never really acted up again at a game till my younger brothers senior year, but it was mainly him, and several other fans, yelling at our coach lol

Yep, As long as i had played the game I had never seen something like that. I,ve run across a few aggressive parent that were living vicariously through there kids, but never one that got pissed off enough to start beating a child... In frickin public!!

These stories always suck.

I've got too many to list.
I'll start off by saying my dad was thrown other of multiple soccer and basketball games when I was growing up. Some deserved, one wasn't.
I've also been a soccer ref off and on for at least 15 year. I've seen grown men cuss out 15 year old girls. I've been chased off a field for making the right call. Just last week I was the AR for a high school game and parents and coaches wouldn't stop yelling at the center ref (a college aged female).
I'm also the assignor for the local rec league and we've gotten a few coaches and parents suspended for a season.
It's the reason I won't do centers any more. Not because I can't handle it (I don't give a frick what anyone yells at me), but because the abuse isn't worth the extra $10.

My son's last three coaches apparently chose kids at tryouts based on parents and not on the kids. We have had wonderful parents, but terrible teams
I would take this 100% of the time in lieu of great teams with horrible parents.

Parents of youth sports are the absolute worst. I'm not kidding.

When I was a kid playing youth baseball there was a weird oriental kid on the other team. His dad got very mad at the kids coach over him not playing for the first couple of innings. A fight almost broke out but the weird part was the oriental dad start biting himself really hard on the arms in guess to show the coach how tough he was. He got removed from the park and we never saw him or the kid again.

It goes both ways . There are parents that are too hard on their kids and there are parents who never spent the time to show their kids the basics.

Oh, and last night this happened. The 6:00 game was a tie at the end of the time limit. We stand there watching the game go on tied until 8:50 when someone finally decided to cancel our 7:30 game. Some of the families have younger ones there than the 9/10s playing. The other coach went off on the admin for calling our game. Unbelievable.
Sad part is that there were probably other fields not being used. coaches shouldve just decided to run over to Tball, haul a mound bump over and umped it themselves. They are all 200' fences.
Of course, they may have gotten in a fist fight over bad calls.

I once had a freak injury on the baseball diamond and when my arm healed I had a fricking cannon. I ended up pitching for the Cubs at the ripe age of 12, and then my mom started banging the ol' veteran on the team.
I used to go play chess in the park with this black guy and after awhile I got pretty good. I beat my dad one day and the next thing I know Im being mentored by this guy that looked like captain jean luc picard. Anyway I won a few tournaments and ended up beating the best kid in the country. I offered him a draw but the dumbass didnt take it.

I was coaching youth baseball and my starting pitcher walked first batter, hit the second, hit the third and had a wild pitch on number 4. He was getting very upset
I went to the mound and told him even the best pitchers have an off day , we were playing again on Saturday and he would have another start.
He goes to the dugout and his mom, who was an extra plus size starts screaming at him. She kept yelling, "Why did that stupid coach take you out?"
I was on the mound watching my new pitcher warm up and told the dad who coached first base I didn't think they were paying me enough . All the while, mom is still screaming at her son about his dumb coach. I am proud I ignored her.
The umpire went over to her and told her to leave or get escorted out by the police. She got her son and left. He never returned to the team.
I saw him about 5 years later, green mullet and all.

Travel ball gets a bad rap, but you dont hear the out of control anger there (or I havent seen it yet)
You get alot of sniping, but it settles down real quick. I think the parents all secretly want to lose so they can go home early.
