I once lived in a small town in texas that had a big feral cat problem due to one lady. she was the childless second wife of a rich dude who spent $$$ on cat food for tons of feral ones in the neighborhood.
At first I trapped a few and took them to the pound but I found out that every week she went there and bailed them all out (truly a loony bin).
so instead of taking them to the pound I took them over the river to the next town over and released them. I must have done over 50 cats that way over the course of a year or so. Improved the neighborhood greatly

Trap them, have them spayed, then release them back.

If you kill one or get rid of one they will fill the void.

There are 1000s of acres of woods behind our neighborhood. Coyotes take care of feral cats around here!

That's some funny shite.

"You'll need some common household items" as he dismantled his car to obtain parts to create a trap.

When I was a kid (12ish) the neighbor took a stray cat and crammed it in another neighbor's mailbox. He watches and sees the mail woman rounding the corner and starts beating and banging on the mailbox. We run a couple houses over an watch and wait. I think that was the hardest I have ever laughed in my life when the cat lunged out ape shite mad and crazy on that poor woman.... kids

Trap them in a live trap. Then throw the trap with cat inside in the back of your truck. Pull over on a bridge passing over a bayou. And while holding the trap over the edge of the bridge, open it and watch the cat free fall

1. "Have a Heart" traps

2. Spay/Neuter them at the free clinics that do that

3. Release back into neighborhood

This is the most effective method of managing a feral cat population. They won't breed, but they will defend their territory against other cats.
