With a few exceptions at the margin, the vast majority of people cannot distinguish between the wine/beer/spirits they claim to love/hate so much. (Take a look at the whiskey thread on the Food and Drink Board and the level of pretentiousness, ego and arrogance on this topic. Literally almost every single one of them would fail a blind taste test.)
