The Atlantic entrance to the Panama Canal is further west than the Pacific entrance.

False... I can write it on a note for someone to read after I'm gone. In that case I WAS here, but am not anymore. I think you meant "cannot be truthfully spoken."

We're closer time wise to the T Rex than the T Rex was to the Stegosaurus by about 80 million years.

Numbers are not randomly distributed they conform to a distribution known as BenFord's Law. Take any set of numbers, the tallest buildings in the world, all the numbers used on the front page of a news paper, the winning scores of all NFL games last year, your bank deposits for the last decade, any set of numbers you can think of, 31% will have a first digit of 1, 17% will have a first digit of 2, less than 5% will have a first digit of 9

If you are gong to cook your books or some other fraud do not try to make up random numbers, that is the first thing they check for in forensic accounting.

The FIRST thing?

I figured they'd look for connections between the payer(someone in the company with access to cut checks) and payee where things stand out like lack of goods/services or increased frequency/amounts compared to other payees.

Follow that money to Friends or family. Or often times a shell company where payer and payee are the same(saw that on SVU and in real life ).

Would it not make sense to check if there is a high probability that a fraud exists before devoting resources to looing for the stuff you describe?
