This isnt the first, but it was one of the ugliest pos my mom had.

Why where they called Astro Vans? Such a cool name for a piece of junk.

She must have had bad taste. Before i was born she had a gremlin.

I vaguely remember riding in a VW Bug with my Mother when I was very young. My dad had a take-home undercover cop car. A Chevy Caprice, I think. I remember sliding all over the back vinyl seat when he'd take turns. (there were no stupid seat belt laws in 1980!)

But the first family car I remember us having was a 1980 Honda Civic 4dr Hatchback.

Like this but ours was beige/brown:

1976 Buick 4 door.

It was in the middle of the gas crunch and the damned thing had a buzzer on the spedo that went off when you went faster than 55mph.

I've got a '70 Cutlass almost identical to that one, love it.

My first memory is of my Dad's '73 Buick Electra, light blue.

Mom had a red 58 Chevy. Too bad it wasn't a 57.

1967 Galaxie 500
4-door
390 ci V-8
2V carb

We called it 'The Bomb'..not because it was especially cool...but because the Ford series had defects with the gas tank. Low speed rear collisions would result in explosions....
