Maybe they OD'd and fell in. If it was a serial killer, I'd expect the victims to have the same race, gender, or other commonality.
A lot of downvotes for a very true statement.

As a victim, or the killer?
Might have just solved it.

One of the fricking homeless cats who live under the Yale St. bridge probably was all fricked up on gear and fell into the bayou.

So far this year, 16 bodies have been found
The Houston reporting is extremely shoddy. Chron had an article yesterday that the total tally for 2025 is over 23 bodies found.
HPD, Mayor's office and the news definitely aren't on the same page.

Organized crime and gangs loving this narrative as all their body dumps will fall under serial killer.

The green river killer in WA... Ted Bundy... Serial killers usually have a preferred type but by and large will go with crimes of opportunity over adhering to preferred type.. based on recorded histories

Cops will always steer away from serial killer talk. Especially in tourist towns

From someone who has done a lot of reading and research on serial killers, it looks like this may not be the work of a serial killer. Most serial killers are consistent in the method of death (strangulation, blunt force, etc) and the sex and profile of the victim (example: Wayne Williams killed young black males/ Albert Desalvo killed young women). The article said the bodies were found in the bayous, but was drowning the cause of death for all, or were there other means of death?

My son found a body a few years ago fishing at a park near Buffalo Bayou. The police were very nonchalant about it to say the least. He told my son there had been about 44 that year. Mostly from the homeless encampments that roll them into the bayou if they OD. They dont want to call attention to the camps by calling cops. Others get drunk and fall in. The currents are really strong, especially of there have been rains.
I am sure some of the victims could be crime related or suicides, but its not only NOT a serial killer, its not even an unusual occurrence.
