Take the politics and pros/cons of the location to the mountains out of it. It’s just another big city and all that comes with that. Some parts are better than others.

The cold is never that bad or lasts that long. The summers are hotter than you’d think.

Pick a good neighborhood and you’ll like it if you like living in/around a big city.

My wife's cousin lives in Castle Rock, to the south of Denver.

They're so fed up with being close to Denver that they plan on relocating within the next 2 years. The juice just isn't worth the squeeze anymore.

Actually the fastest growing area of Colorado is the western slope in particular Grand Junction area.

What does this have to do with Fort Collins or Denver?

Tell that to all the mouthbreathers who respond “but they’re liberal scum” every time someone brings up living in Denver. We love it. Unfortunately, local policies can dictate if someone decides uprooting their lives to move to another location. Sorry?

My niece and her husband…both LSU grads and your age…have been living there for a year. They love it.

I swear, somebody could post that they are moving to Valhalla for work and some on this board would say it’s a shite hole.

I have lived there

Denver sucks to me

Fort Collins area and Colorado as a whole are awesome

ETA: I lived in Greeley. Loved it. Loved everything about that area north of Denver. Hated having to go into Den when needed

Different strokes different folks

ETA; if you want precision it was Windsor. But only CO folks would have any clue what that is

Good because cost of living is surprisingly high in CO.

We live in the springs, moved 5 years ago from NOLA.

Love it here, never going back.

Do the net income math. The net pay raise difference minus the potential house note/HOA difference = X per month leftover.

Is that worth it?

When I went to “town” for any night out etc etc it was Fort Collins 100% of the time to be fair.

3.50 years.

All up in the mountains. Moving from Twin Lakes to Dillon in October.

Would be difficult to move back.
