local news out of Huntsville that has been pretty on point says they're searching but haven't located victim(s) or shooter(s).

Then it's a false alarm.

Same thing happened a few weeks ago at Travis AFB. Could it simply be a nefarious act calling into these bases, reporting these incidents to get people spun up for nothing. Also lessens someones guard as these false alarms happen more frequently.

That or the planned exercise tomorrow.

Regardless, Travis AFB was also in an exercise when their incident happened.

Uh oh. One of the aliens got loose.

In all seriousness though I hope they get the situation (whatever it is) under control and none of the good guys get hurt.

not a response to you. My wife works for the AFB here in Ga and has been in communication with a former co-worker who works at the installation who is on lockdown. I cannot verify the information but relaying what was told to my wife that there are 13 wounded and it is a hostage situation as of right now

Could be, or could be murder-suicide and it's taking a while to confirm that's what happened (or some other more localized/personal incident).

FWIW WHNT reporting that several FBI vehicles and ambulances were seen coming onto Redstone, but that wouldn't be particularly telling IMO. I also saw somewhere that FBI had presence on post (as in permanent presence)

I stated that this was information passed down from someone who works at the installation and currently on lockdown and relayed to my wife.

Guys this is not a false alarm. I just spoke to someone at the building and they are watching ambulances leave.

If that many people were injured, I think we would know by now.

Was also reported this way during the Travis AFB incident. With numbers of injured, yet no one was.

If they had a mass shooting, but can't locate a shooter, or victims, then there was no mass shooting. You can't have this incident and not have any idea where the victims are.

Situation is contained to 2nd floor of AMCOM at Sparkman Center.

Having followed a lot of similar incidents (as most of us have) I'd tend to agree.

But there have been several lately where the details were very slow and with mixed outcomes. The California college shooting (just a few injuries I think) vs. Manchester bombing.

It's best not to dismiss it till it's proven false though. Especially when there are conflicting reports.

Redstone is home to the Hazardous Device School run by the FBI. Bomb Tech / EOD school for federal, state, local agencies. Bunch of my friends have been through the course.

Yeah sounds like a woman has herself barricaded in a room. They are reporting no injuries and many have been evacuated out of the Sparkman Center

Huntsville Hospital states it has not received any notification from the Arsenal, but is ready to help.
