I have lived in Orleans for nearly a decade, never been there. I always see the huge lines and wondered what’s the big deal
Nostalgia. People who live in the suburbs and go to the FQ seldom went there growing up and “love it”.
It’s not particularly good in any way.

Hasn't been good since before Katrina. Before you either ate the burger or potato. Couldn't do both at the same time. Cysco trash now

but the Hard Rock is Mitch's fault. The failures of the permit office started on his watch.
No it wasn't. It was the engineers fault. They fricked up the design.
How it has been handled since it fell is all Toya.
And she say on the council that gave all the variances for the building it you still think that is where the blame is.

What would it cost to have Jefferson Parish buy downtown and let the rest of the city rot?

I seriously don't know what Cantrell's logic is here.
It’s never about logic. It’s about control and them trying to act like our parents and we are misbehaving children.

She basically said some places had lines congregating for takeout liquor and people weren’t social distancing so frick whitey
I get that but here's the thing: she also shut down drive-thru daiquiri shops.
Unless our cars can get coronavirus then that makes no sense to me whatsoever.

Yea, but wasn’t the inspector at some fault? Instead of doing the normal inspections going for lunch, etc?

Julie Tweeter signed off on the inspection without doing any inspecting.
That practice became widespread under Mitch. He was too busy virtue signaling about muh statues.
