I like black box wine. I've had a couple of $150 wines and they didn't taste much different than a $40-$60.

3. Africa by Toto- I have gotten to the point where I’m convinced it has become “cool” to like this song even though it’s merely average. Just like it was “cool” for people to claim they’re neurotic or “ocd” about things.

This. Africa is not even Toto's best song. Soon people will start saying they love Eddie Murphy's Party All the Time just to be cool.

To the average drinker, there is no difference.

I have plenty in the $10-20 range that would fool almost everyone here. 90+ points all around.

I also agree with the whole taco culture. How there’s literally t-shirts people wear about tacos. Tacos are fine, but I wouldn’t say I have them more than once a month. Certainly not enough to make a shirt about it.

Burgers or pizza make more sense for me. That’s something I crave weekly.

Not to be rude, but this invalidates the rest of your post. That stuff is nasty.

Was going to downvote for LotR and skiing, but given the current state of Star Wars I'll let you pass.

in my uninformed opinion, between the 40 to 100 dollar range, mainly on the lower range, you find some really great ones. The point i'm making is a bottle of Goldeneye or Duckhorn does not taste the same as Sutter Homes

I feel like wine rating has gone the way of Rotten Tomatoes.

When I say ratings, I mean spectator, enthusiast, or James suckling. The long established and legitimate organizations. Most others would get you laughed at.
