I mean animals get sick. Think about how many chickens people eat from Popeyes every single day. I mean 22 million chickens are consumed in the US each day. Is it really that shocking that every once in a while a sick bird gets through even with excellent quality control measures in place?
Now, if there are a large number of birds with this strange worm/maggot in circulation then I would start to worry because that is indicative of a larger problem.

Who has ever seen only 1 maggot? There are either several or 0. Also, maggots would only be on rotten meat. The eggs have to be laid, and then the maggot develops and starts eating the meat. I call bullshite.

That's what I'm thinking. It looks fresh and alive. The frying process would have destroyed it. Unless it's an old piece that got caught behind something, then found and just put back in the warning tray

Not just fast food. There is an certain level of insect parts and animal filth (threshold established by the FDA) that is allowed in all food that you buy.
