He's a public figure who people would like to assassinate. Attempts have happened in the past

This thread makes me wonder why Obama never traded out the caddy for a Pontiac

There's nothing cheap about the secret service protection you pay for either. Why is this even brought up?

He's an evil wicked communist in the mold of Stalin. Worse than Stalin in fact bc he thinks he's god.

He's in the Top 5 most powerful people in the world, so I hope so.

FWIW, Jesus said multiple times that those with wealth should give it up to the poor and needy for the material world was meaningless to the wealth of heaven.

I'm no fan of the papacy, or the RCC, for that matter, but on what basis do you think you can make a statement like that? These threads bring out the lunatics.

Yes they do. You're welcome.

Pope = communist. Hey but he wears a cheap wooden cross so he deserves a Mercedes .

Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.

It's like none of you know anything about this pope
Dude has turned down every nice thing given to other popes. He walks the walk pretty big time. He turns down these vehicles whenever he can.
Do some research or at least crawl out from under that rock.

Also there are tons of Mercedes cabs and industrial vehicles in Europe. Not near the same status symbol of wealth.

I guess this is how the OT expects him to roll

Capitalism, and the freedom of association required, certainly allows for charity. There is no such thing as forced charity.
No matter which economic system you choose, however, one is not more "Christ-like" than another. There will be haves and have-nots, those with power and without. But neither are inherently "good" because they are made up of humans who are flawed.

It's like you didn't even follow the thread of conversation.
And how do I get down voted for a direct quote of Jesus Christ.
