the train bridge goes from levee to levee and the car odometer from I-10 next to it as well as the mile markers on I-10 says you are wrong

if you relied on google maps picture for bad data its ok, i wont fault you for that

Bruh. Just stop. I drive this motherfricker every day.
1. Google Maps' "measure Distance" feature is accurate to within several feet. I suggest you go play with it and measure a football field or something. Retard.

2. I'll just leave these two Google Street view images from "levee to levee" as you put it. You clearly made up the mile marker part. Retard Squared.

Finish

Is this just an off the cuff statement, because you obviously haven't driven downtown since the collapse.

Canal St. is blocked off for traffic near the site in both directions. This leaves Poydras as the only major thoroughfare heading to the river in the downtown area.

My stepdaughter works at Neiman Marcus at the foot of canal next to Harrah's and takes the streetcar to work that would drop her off at the foot of Canal and she'd walk the 2 or so blocks. Now the streetcar stops around Claiborne and she has to then catch a bus that takes the passengers to Poydras and the rest of the way, damn near doubling her commute time.

Poydras in the morning and afternoon is like a parking lot with traffic moving at a snail's pace.

It could have something to do with permitting. The COE will not allow pile-driving, excavation, etc. when the river level is about 11'7" at the Carrollton gauge. Not sure this is it, but could be.
