In the process of putting together a plan to build a pool this winter and I'm wavering on if to add the spa or not? I hear they break a lot more than the pool itself. However having a heater would be a nice bonus and would give me 2 additional months of pool use. Any thoughts?? In New Orleans if that matters.

We decided no spa or heater due to friends never using them and the costs of electric bills

Almost everyone I asked said it's the shiny new toy for the first year and then they never use it

If money isn't an issue then absolutely, but it took off 18k for no spa or heater

Get the hot tub. You gonna pay/borrow 60,000 or 63,000 dollars.

Heaters do break, but it's a year round pool with a heater. This far south there is basically one to two weeks a year where I think it's too cold to mess with. And even then I'm just being lazy.

Did this had it elevated off of the pool dead center with a water fall into the pool. It was an extra 15k tho. It is nice to be able to use it when it gets colder out.

Hot tub additions are usually 6-8k not 3. But I agree, I would do it. I have a pool and wish it had a hot tub (previous owners installed it). I could see us not using it a ton, but if you are spending the money, why not.

That has been my thoughts for the most part The only complaint I have heard is they break and cause more maintainience issues than a stand alone pool.

hot tubs are more like 10-13k. its a concrete seat with 9 jets. Why not get a stand alone hot tub with contoured seats, and 60 jets, for 7k?

Thinking about all those jets makes me moist

Yes, worth it. And if nothing else for resale when you sell the home

It makes their pussies already wet, the problem is the water is warmer than their internal temperature, so the pussies feel cold and makes your peepee not like them.

Absolutely. Had them in every pool I've ever owned and used them far more than the pools.

Never had a mechanical problem with them, either.

Fair enough. Adding one for you now would probably be 10k plus.

DO IT. We added the spa and heater. Don't regret it. We usually heat the spa most of the winter. spa added around 8K to the price. we went with the propane heater because we don't have gas. I bought 100lb tank from Lowes and have to fill it a could of times a year.
