Politicians & Sign Language

Why do politicians and public officials always use these sign language people instead of close captioning? Does anybody besides me think its a scam? Why are they all unattractive people? Does anybody think they are really signing what the speakers are saying or just clowning? Is it only democrats that hire these people? Please tell me I'm not alone with these questions.

Because you only see the use of sign language people when politicians use them. No where else, close captioning in all languages are everywhere. I love deaf people, I would hate that they are being used as props for woke people to show how caring they are acting.

Because in most of these scenarios they are taking questions from media so there is no script for the captions to follow. If you have ever watched a live game on closed captioning you know how inaccurate it is in live settings therefore they use a sign language person to be more accurate

When I was at LSU, we had someone signing next to the professor in probably ten or so classes.

If its information that the public needs to hear (or become aware of) then its pretty obvious why they do it. Can close captioning be done with live coverage? (might be a dumb question, but thinking about it, I really don't know).
Yes, although you see them used by leaders, no matter what party they are, it is only something democrats do.
And yes its a scam created by Frank Abagnale back in the day..
