I'm all for it as long as politicians who get caught abusing their authority have their own license plate.

Having been a victim of an accident with a drunk driver, I agree.

Should happen after 1st offense though.

I doubt it’s going to become law at this time, but I think this is just the beginning of it

By the time it gets passed maybe there will be self driving cars and his progressive bill will be pointless.

Party Plates have existed in Ohio for quite a while

quote:

In 1967, Ohio started issuing special license plates to DUI offenders with limited privileges. Like any state, if the offense is severe enough, a revoked license isn’t out of the question in Ohio. But for those who are granted limited driving privileges due to DUI, like only driving to work, a special plate is issued.

This wasn’t very highly enforced until 2004, when it became mandated by state law for all offenders under a court ruled they could have full privileges back. The special plates (allegedly known as “party plates”) are shown on the right (although the real ones obviously don’t have a straight line of zeroes).

If they're going to do this, they better damn well start castrating pedophiles.

I'm in favor as long as there is a similar law that requires douche-level cops to have dildos hanging off their licenses plates.

I legit laughed out loud

Those plates are what you get if you're convicted of a dui/DWI?

Yea, I think if you get 2+ DUIs you get them. Not sure for how long or anything. You see them on the road every once in a while.

Why would someone with two DUIs be allowed to have a registered vehicle in the first place. ?

Its also tied to privledges so the plate could be required for multiple OVI offenders before they are convicted but under a hard suspension.
