This is a generational thing, not politics, so I think should stay on the O-T for a bit. The tweets in the article are mildly amusing.

quote:

A 23-year-old American television host has launched a scathing attack on millenials and their parents, arguing young people are “babied” and spend too much time on social media.
...

“Millennial Bill of Rights is trending - gotta love Twitter - so what rights do we as young people demand?” she asked.

“The right to complain when our parents make us spend the Christmas money they gave us. The right to blame the free market and the bank for making us take on student loan debt. Or the right to whine all day on social media that we aren’t rich and famous?

“Meanwhile, sitting on Instagram, instead of being productive? Is that really the so-called Bill of Rights we petitioned for? We are better than this.”

I'm so tired of hearing about millennials.

Baby boomers are worse.

I'm pretty sure this statement is currently false.

I fail to see the issue with this statement.

the rhetoric that we'd all be wealthier and more successful if we just tried harder and made better choices is just that, rhetoric.

the reason parents are more lenient with their adult children staying home into their 20s is because the alternative is living with the fact that the baby they raised is sleeping under a bridge somewhere.

we can think boomers for that

also, she is only getting there today because she is a 9/10 blonde with perky boobs, it wasnt your work ethic sweetie, it was your arse and tits

This dumb count either doesn't realize she's a millennial as well, or that her blonde hair and big mouth is the reason she landed a gig on Fox News. It's pretty easy to say a bunch of useless shite. No intelligence is required.

Tomi should be glad she's good looking or else no one would give a shite what she says. She's got a good porn star name.

If they put you under a bridge, would you stay there, or would you get a couple part-time jobs in order to afford an apartment?

The game is always rigged, isn't it? Stop jerking off to 9/10 blondes, and they won't be on TV any more.

Every generation has their turn at power, directing the country. I just don't understand how the 2 longest wars in American history, soaring college tuition, the Great Recession, soaring welfare state, and a general steering away from Biblical norms is anyone's fault other than the baby boomers who are and have been sitting in the Congress and corporations everywhere for 40 years MAKING and CREATING these laws. Millenials are just now getting into positions of power. I guess boomers are realizing they did a shitty job during their time in power.

no one wants the moral burden of accepting that wealth distribution is largely due to luck. social mobility is largely a myth and that can mostly be blamed on boomers.

this chick was extremely lucky to blessed with superior genetics, without them, shed not be where she is today. props to her, but lets not ignore the truth.

Isn't it weird that the most outspoken people about other's work ethic are usually the least productive members of society?

I've yet to hear a scathing social commentary from a farmer or a mechanic, it's usually a news caster or political figure. Or a fricking lawyer.

Having access to the thoughts of more idiots doesn't necessarily mean that there are more idiots.

Just like crime isn't actually up (over a multi-year period) since the 80s and 90s like many people seem to believe.

I'm an X'er and agree 100% that Boomers are shite. Difference between us is that I realized no one was going to do it for me, so I carried my arse to work and beat them at their own game. Now, I'm an absurdly handsome man, with an off the charts max bench and a super-duper girthy penis, but my brain and my desire got me where I am today. And all my old trophies said champion on them.
