What product do I need to use with my randomn orbital? Do I need something more aggressive like wet sanding? Color is silver.

Photos are tough to get right.

Did it make it all the way through the clear coat?

Is that vehicle blue?
What a crappy color for a car.
Or is it silver ? Still a terrible choice.

Wife ordered what she wanted. Silver with blonde interior.

Think like 1500 grit, then maybe 2000...followed by polish, or just polish with random orbital and call it a day?

Is there a two stage compound then polish option?

IDK

Always start with the least aggressive option possible. Don't jump to wet sanding yet. Do you have a cutting pad?

If you drag your fingernail across it and it’s smooth you can buff it out. Wet sand with 2000 then buff it

Had you bought a German-built car, today you would not feel as badly.

But Nooooooo, you have to support the ChiComs and get a vulva.

Well, good luck on your scratch removal project.

Fingernail catches a bit. They're white though, so I was hoping just polishing would make them disappear.

My car is German, and gloriously so. German gun, German watch...just put the flag NATO back on it!

I'd start with Meguiars 83 on a microfiber cutting pad and see where that gets you.

Upvote for admitting to drunk driving on this board. Also for trying to cover it up and not come clean with the wife

so you immediately said something like : "Settle down, I can buff that out with some compound"

The top scratch in the second picture looks like it’s down to the sheet metal. That ain’t buffing out.
