The deep scratches are going to be tough, but this stuff works on all the others on the surface.

I'd try HDSpeed first with the correct Lake Country pad. If that doesn't work then progress to a Scratch Polish. 3M makes some good ones. Use Autopia website to research. Least aggressive first and then progress only on the spots that still show. If any are through the clear coat then let a body shop handle those. Or take it to your dealer. They usually have a contracted guy that can spot correct deep scratches.

I say don't sweat the little things. It is going to get scratched, dinged, dented eventually. You just got a head start on it.

True story. I've got a friend who bought a new pickup back in the mid 70's, brought it home to show his wife and kids and they were all standing around it "Oohing and awing" over it and he reached down in the garden and picked up the biggest piece of limestone bordering he could find and tossed it in the bed of the truck. It dented the bed and scratched it up pretty good and he just said, "It's going to happen, so let it happen now and get it over with."

I did not even notice there was a human being in that picture. I was too distracted by the douche canoe strapped to the roof.

Do you have a real ra buffer or just a consumer model from car parts store or sears?

IDK, got it as a gift. Sure it's not a top dollar one.

If you are just covering a head with different cloth/wool covers don’t bother, get a pro. If it is an interchangeable pad da buffer then you need to start with a good cutting pad and medium polish. If that doesn’t help. Go to a heavy pad and heavy polish. If not still helping, get a pro because you are going to need some rotary polishing.

Just throw some silver Plastidip on it and it’ll be fine.

First try chemical guys VSS Scratch and swirl remover. If that does work, try the v34,36,38 compounds until one works. You could get a small bottle of each from their website for like 30

Put a "30A" sticker over the scratch and call it a day.
