I know that all dogs are not the same but that is an unnecessary killing. My daughter has 3 Huskies that I take care of when they go out of town. They are very loving animals. One gets a little excited and jumps up on you, he was rescued, but he is only excited to see me. Whoever called and claimed that the dog was attacking children, should be ashamed. And the officers are to cowardly to just reach out and pet the dog. Dogs are extensions of family.

I bet they had 10 cops there and animal services and all those dumb fricks couldn't contain 1 dog. And it wasn't even a pit!

You'd be surprised some of the dumb shite I was getting sent from the SDPD. One, was sort of taser like, except instead of the pins from a taser that stick in you, it shot a rope with 2 metal pins on the end of it that's supposed to wrap around the person's legs and make them fall. Thus being subdued without having to be tased, or worse, shot.
While I think it was a noble idea to put alternatives in the hands of LEOs, this was one of the dumbest projects I ever worked on. Imagine trying to shoot these projectile ropes at a suspect running from you and trying to get them to wrap around the suspects legs. We all knew it would be a shitshow with the design the SDPD gave us. Before I left the company, the project was scrapped. The taxpayers footed a hefty bill for that "R&D".
You're right though, they love their new toys and have all kind of ideas for stupid arse shite. There's a lot of r&d done for alternative LEO weapons, but those were some of the most stupid drawings I've ever seen stamped. Contrast that with a company like Colt, or the Navy, where most of the prototype stuff you can imagine actually working, if even a few tweaks are needed to finalize the design.

I kind of laughed to myself... Tasing a dog seems like something that would happen in a comedy movie or something, but I watched the video.. That's kind of fricked up.
How bad were the kids hurt? What if the kids were pulling his tail, being rough and he just snipped at them? That dog isn't going to just go after kids and start attacking them.
