The cop was arrested just as any civilian would have been arrested for the crime. I guess I don’t see how burning cities down and looting businesses will bring equality.

In a perfect world it would never happen. Police are real people, too. Real emotions. Some are bad, most are good. Sometimes bad things will happen. Doesn’t make it right but it’s unavoidable.

Why would you walk off a job requiring a GED that is safer than lawn care while getting generous government pay, loads of overtime, and the ability to be above the common citizen when it comes to most real world applications of the law.

Maybe they should stop showing up to protests in riot gear. Maybe help lead the protests instead of showing up to face it.

There are thousands of interactions between police and black people daily. Something like this Floyd incident happens at most a couple of times a year. Yes, one time is one too many but the “we’re being hunted” narrative is false. White people get killed too.
