30 police were hurt last night and a lot of places burned but the national media is barely covering this. I don't even see it on the CNN or NYT homepage. I mean, I know 'why' I don't but I didn't think they'd be this blatant about it.

It's amazing how dumb some people can be. People will look at an incident like this, where a man literally chased after officers who were backing away the entire time, and say they should have either tased him or pepper sprayed him.

Just watched the video. You can clearly hear the police tell him to step away and he just comes charging at them from between the cars. Both officers draw back and away from him and then fire when he keeps moving towards them. I can't tell from the footage but if he had a knife in his hand and he was charging towards them like he was in that video, its justifiable shoot IMO.
I feel bad for his mother and family, but all he had to do was drop the weapon and not run towards the police. The better question to ask is what was he doing to have the police called to his location?
All the news reports say was that they were responding to a domestic issue but no further details have been provided. Was his threatening family members with the knife?

Video shows two policemen in the street backing up as dude strides down the sidewalk, between two parked cars and then dude is on the street. Police are facing him, and backing up. They continue backing up as he approaches them, with his big knife up in the air and one of them yells "Drop the knife" repeatedly. Dude doesn't drop knife and continues to walk straight at them.

I do not have sympathy for idiots who get shot fighting cops or refusing to put down a weapon. Sorry. This is what BLM has a problem with apparently. The solution to them is cops should wait til they get stabbed. Well no...even that wouldn't be enough.
