We are talking about a 11 year old girl with special needs. There had to be someone at the school who knew how to deal with her.
The way he went after her, the way he handle the whole situation was wrong. There wasn't even a need for a police to be involved in that situation. He starts yelling assault because she walked by the teacher and may have touched his hand. At no point was she trying to attack the principal.
He took it upon himself to get involved and completely overreacted. He needed to let the principal do his job.
If an adult man feels the need to handle a situation like that involving a 11 year old girl.. Them he has some issues.
There is a reason he was probably the deputy assigned to the school. They don't usually assign the best deputies to schools.. And he was probably foaming at the mouth to do some "real police work".
I hope he enjoys his career as a security guard.

Bob, this is a perfect example of the inflammatory generalizations and unrelated comparisons you make that interfere with otherwise normal discussion and just make you look crazy.

Response to thread in general, too lazy to go back and respond off the OP.
I watched chunks of the full 1:17 video and I think this was handled incorrectly. From what I gathered the poor behavior started 3 days ago and she was put in ISS and when it continued it was switched to OSS and she was waiting for her mom to pick her, which she did, it turns out they could not hold her due to her age in NM. From the outside it it appears something traumatic may have started or escalated either in school or out recently and someone she could trust needed to try to get to the bottom of it.
Throughout the entire video, she was never violent, the violence started with the cop. The other responding officers just kept and open dialog with her and she never tried to run or fight in any way. There is no question she is VERY big for 11 but in the end, she is an 11 yo that wasn't beating on anyone.
I think there was a cry for help going on here and this officer probably only made the situation worse.
ETA while she was standing at the door several people walked up from the outside and she calmly opened the door and held it for them.

Should we have to worry about 11 year olds “resisting” power tripped dick rads at school for taking too many milks? Resisting officers and milk. Boot fricking licker assholes. frick cops. 3/4 of them aren’t qualified to dump asphalt in a pothole.
