You always see people pointing at monitors in TV commercials and in stock photos in various ads.

I can't think of a time that I've ever done it. Nor have I ever seen anyone do it. Is this a thing? Or just a device so that people will look like they are doing something when photographed at a computer? It is especially blatant in U.S. military recruiting commercials.

I think it's stupid as frick and it bothers me. I lose lots of sleep over this. I hate it.

You never showed something to someone on the computer? Especially people who can't see what you're showing them?

It happens a lot when you are looking at something with someone, especially in Excel. Never been on a computer before?

I do it often. But I'm always working with tards, or training new guys, and when you let them get hands on, and tell them to perform an action, and they can't find it.. I point. Don't see the issue

I've done it on a very rare occasion for particularly hard-headed people, or when I'm not controlling the mouse. Usually, dragging/wiggling the cursor over the part you want noticed is sufficient.
