No, I'd love for my kid to learn about his First, Fourth, and Eighth Amendment Rights that are under attack by the present administration, as well as how the constitutional roles of Congress have been usurped by the executive.

As a parent would you be upset if your kid went trick or treating to a house and got a bag of candy and a pocket constitution?
Why would you care if the parents were upset? If you feel it is important for you to intervene in what you obviously think is inadequate parenting on the part of your neighbors and probably a few strangers I would bet they already think you're an a-hole and merely tolerate your presence on Halloween because they are too kind and were raised right so uncomfortable shunning you.
So what is it....are your neighbors too stupid to get their kid a copy themselves? What is your fevered fantasy in this scenario....that the kid finds the constitution at the bottom of their bucket of snickers bars and bubble gum and forgets all about that stuff and sets in reading the constitution and being enlightened at the age of 6? I would posit it is far more likely the kid finds it, looks at it to see if it can be eaten and if it can't tosses it in the floor along with the religious tracts that smut peddlers hand out at Halloween. Why not pass out math exams and a vocabulary list while you are at it because it is certain that once he kid knows who is handing out that shite they won't be coming back to do anything other than throw rocks at your house.

The constitution is political ideology?
The upvote ratio on this post and the follow-up echoes make me lose faith in tOT's education, which I am usually impressed with.
The Constitution and associated documents are THE political ideology that the United States of America was founded on. To argue otherwise is supremely ignorant. It is possible that some people think "ideology" is a pejorative or that political ideology only represents what the individual parties believe, but that is 100% incorrect.
The Constitution is a written outline of the political ideology of the US.
As to the OP I don't have an issue with distributing copies of The Constitution with Halloween candy as long as one realizes they will likely get tossed by most kids along with the candy they don't like.

Have Ol Glory flying in your yard, some patriotic Halloween decorations, and with some good candy then no one can get mad at what you give out. Shouldn’t have come to your door if you don’t love America.
Though it should be a more kid friendly version cause no kid is gonna be able to read it and understand it.

Would I be upset, no.
Personally, I don't have kids and I have been giving out full bars

If I was 10 yrs old and you gave me this instead of candy, I would probably throw it at your door after it closed. It's not because I am unpatriotic....it's because I am 10.

They teach it in school at the age of the kids trick or treating. It’s not political ideology it’s the Constitution. May inspire a few kids and maybe a parent to have conversations.
I would have thought the same thing about the nation’s flag one chooses to live in legally or illegally, but apparently some view anything with a flag of your nation as a hate crime.
That being said I don’t have a problem with including the constitution with candy and think everyone should read it for themselves instead of being told what’s in it. There are both things in it and not in it that will surprise many kids being taught by some teachers and some school districts today
