dont surrender the language to the leftists. the word is "fat" not "plus-sized"

Which means that airlines need to change more now, so that those expense will b attributed to building bigger planes with wide seats
I don’t see the big deal

The underlying issue aside, it's just crazy that CNN publishes something like that.
I'm not intending to make it political/about Trump (it's just an easy example), but any CNN hard news article that talks about Trump claiming election interference will caveat Trump's comments with something like "which multiple investigations found to be baseless."
But here CNN will publish this complete with stuff about how being obese is an immutable characteristic and not a choice, with no commentary about these wildly false claims.

They should put large scales with digital displays at the gate, make the fatties step on it then have it calculate and display the fuel cost compared to non-fat passengers. Shame them for how much more energy use and pollution they are responsible for with their fatness.

Solution-airlines should just charge by the pound
by the size, not pound.
They should do just like they do with the carry on bags when they have to fit in that confined space to be considered a carry on, and have a seat and make you sit in it. If you are spilling over the edge of the seat, then you need 2 seats, and if there aren't 2 seats available, then tough shite, you don't get to fly today b/c you lied about being a fat arse.
I"m 260. I guarantee you i won't spill over and touch you if you sit next to me on a plane, and i don't need an extension seat belt. If we ever touch, it'll be b/c you're moving around and came over into my space.
You can have a 240lb fat arse spilling over the seat with his fat belly and legs, and you can have 240lb athletic type, who is still overweight but not some sloppy fatass, who can stay within the seat.

I agree with this.
Now take it other direction, do pre-adolescent kids pay less?

We went cave exploring and before you go in, you have to crawl thru a steel box. If you don't fit, you can't go into the cave.
I have long advocated for a sizewise gate. It is absurd that they can ask someone to throw away items in their suitcase to make it hit weight, but the person behind them in line might weigh 200lbs more.
Uhhhhh if you look out the left windows, you'll see the uhhhh St. Louis Arch. And, uhhhhh.... I'm going to turn on the fasten seat belt lights now because, uhhhh we are out of fuel because you fat asses caused us to use it all on half the flight.

They should be less fat. Their excessive weight is dangerous for me when we fly.

When they land they’re going to have to get some guys from the ground crew equipped with pry bars, come-alongs, and grease guns to get her off the plane.

I'd be curious if this is still the trajectory with the hot Ozempic/Wegovy/Mounjaro development. Feels like everyone is on it, and I imagine is only catching more steam by the day.
for every fat on it, there are 30 fats that haven't been to the doctor in years

Would you like to upgrade and not sit next to a fattie? It only cost $50

These medicines are going to end up having horrible long term side effects.
I have no evidence to support this claim, but I am positive

Airlines have the box that your carry on bag has to fit in. If it doesn't fix, you have to check it. Why isn't there a seat to try before boarding. You don't fit then but an additional seat or purchase first class seating.
Posted on 6/12/23 at 11:09 am to bdavids09
What they are shooting for is getting first class seats at economy rate.
