Had to drive through this shite trying to get home tonight. Traffic fricked up everywhere. Throngs of substandard to mediocre humanity. It's like a big ULL tailgate except a million times bigger.

If I only think they're fun if you're single and/or have kids. Neither apply to me, at the moment, so I stay away if I can.

If you have a private area it’s fun to hang out, drink, and catch some stuff. If you’re amongst the unwashed masses it’s awful.

Houma parades > NOLA parades.

They’re fun if you’re with your friends or family and have a good spot.

Late 90s Hibernia on St Charles with a quick walk to Superior was lit.

Among.

The word you are looking for is "among".

The only people who say "amongst" are dumb people trying to sound smart.

Before you or anyone else gets mad at me, just know that I'm trying to help you.

Somebody's salty about not getting a ladder spot on prime neutral ground.

I enjoy them in small doses. I like seeing the marching bands, dance teams, color guards, etcetera. I don't care about throws and I don't want to be out there more than about 90 minutes at a time.

Outside of UK or India, the word is Among, not Amongst.

Oh, and I just read that a Cleopatra float is presently stuck on a tree.

In both speech and writing, among and amongst are interchangeable. Both are grammatically correct and mean the same thing. However, amongst is often considered old-fashioned or pretentious in American English, so you may want to avoid it.

I don’t know if you’re projecting or poor but I feel sorry for you either way.
