I plastidipped the (fake) air cleaners on the hood of my H3. I think it turned out pretty nice. Because of the squared off shape of these little bumps, they are constantly dirty and have permanent stains that I can't get completely clean. Not a problem any more. Now I'm trying to decide if I want to do the front part of the back fenders that makes up the lower part of the back doors. They suffer from the same problem.

eta: Thanks to whoever started a plastidipping thread on here a few months ago, I got the idea from you.

why would he be bragging on a car that hasn't been made in four+ years.

GEEZ.

It's a spray on rubberish material, think what usually covers the handles of a pair of pliers. They now make it in an aerosol in a bunch of different colors. And it is completely removable too. Many people use it to change the color of their wheels.

Thanks. I'm usually not into too much customization, but this dang near looks factory to me.

Hey, it obviously makes the vehicle look better. It sucks when parts fade or look really bad after use. I think it gives a great sport look too. Good job.

Just to spread knowledge and cultivate ideas. For example, I saw a thread here about plastidipping, so I did a project of my own. I enjoyed said project, and hope that others may be inspired by my six and a half year old vehicle with 100k miles.
