COCOA BEACH, Fla. - A plane that was part of the Cocoa Beach Air Show went down on Saturday and landed in the ocean, officials told FOX 35 News.

Chris Dirato, who's with the air show, said no one was injured.

The plane went down in the water about 15 feet offshore, off the coast near Patrick Air Force Base, according to Dirato. It was a TBM Avenger that was part of the Warbirds multi-plane demonstration team.

Could you imagine sitting in the beach and a f’n plane come crashing out the sky? It would really make for a hell of a story to tell.

15 feet offshore? Is that really considered ‘offshore?’

So it hit the beach. Just say it hit the beach.

It didn't hit the beach, therefore it hit offshore.

Everytime I hear that word used instead of flight deck I think of Saint George's Flying set.

Sad to lose another flying WWII aircraft. Excellent ditching by the pilot. He got out safe and no one on the beach was injured.

I doubt the TBM will ever fly again after being exposed to salt water but you never know. Spend enough dollars and miracles can happen.

I remember that gif a while ago where a plane came in for a landing on a beach and flew right over, just a few feet above, a guy laying face down sunbathing. I never heard if it was a legit emergency landing, though.

I love the videos where the Caribbean island's landing strip is literally across the street from the beach. Idiots go stand by the fence while the planes takeoff and Darwin's law never fails once or twice ever year.

If that was a Christopher Nolan movie, his engine would have quit north of Jacksonville.
