Can someone please post a link to the site that was posted when the LSU Phi Mu's died in that tragic crash a few years back. Horrific stuff, site was kind of a pilot geek's site where experts talked about the crash, went deep into details most of us have no clue about.
Thank you and prayers to the victims today

VERY sorry for your loss, saw NTSB concluded it was pilot error recently. Experienced pilot with engineer on board took off in conditions they never should have...just like Kobe, who says no to a Billionaire? So sad, apparently one of the girls was sick, they could have called coast guard but chose private helicopter and even the girls who were not sick got on board to support their friend...does not get much more tragic than that...

WWL reporting only pilot on helo. No official word on condition but I can't imagine it looks good.

Witness confirmed pilot is dead.

WBRZ:
The agency said only the pilot was on board the helicopter at the time. Sources confirmed the pilot, who is from the Greater Baton Rouge area, died in the crash.
The pilot flew helicopters for a Baton Rouge-based industrial construction company.

The pilot was a good guy. Very good pilot. Shocking that he flew in that soup.

Fog around BR burned off mid morning and it could be that it was clear on takeoff but then he encountered the fog that was much denser around Lake P.

How long can we anticipate the interstate being closed?
Posted on 12/14/21 at 8:28 pm to Briella
Have they released the pilot's name yet?

Might be mandeville captain trying to flee the bond. Just food for thought!

He probably had a lot of hours, don’t know why he didn’t just do a 180 and put it down somewhere, VFR into IMC kills a lot of pilots

Helicopter, from my understanding, is registered to Lemoine and Co.

It sounds like he was flying low trying to follow I-10 in the fog, clipped that power line, and it put him down into the bridge.

cropduster hit a tower near the I10 basin bridge drop off at henderson years ago, killed the pilot
I passed by while his plane was burning in the median, never forgot it
RIP gents
