Reports I saw earlier said he was circling the field where the crash happened.

Checks out with how the wind was out of west. He was flying in from the west and was trying to come around and land from the east and lost it during that time. Longest strip is only 2000 ft running west/east.

He filed flight plans to land at the "Stafford Airport" in Cankton.

Thats a 2000ft (at best) grass strip. High transmission lines on the east end.

A twin beech is not filing a flight plan there. I think and hope thats just a fault with flight aware in that when a VFR flight results in a crash the software just assumes the destination is the nearest registered strip.

His post was the source jackass. In his haste to be the first to report the news he could have waited 15 minutes with some details. He later edited his post.
I could have waited, but I didn’t,,,,just like many, we post what we know at the time, then as details come in, we update the original post. IDK what you or others expect,,,,should I wait until it’s confirmed everyone is dead, should I wait until the investigation is complete, should I wait until a local news station post partial details by a reporter who can’t spell? How bout this, I do me, you do you? All too quick you are to criticize someone who brings a conversation who doesn’t serve exactly what you want. If Bob Woodruff would have popped up and said we have unconfirmed reports that a private plane crashed into the twin towers on 9-11, would you have criticized him for not reporting the complete story? Obviously your life revolves around Tiger Droppings to invest this much blood pressure in such an insignificant event.

Yeah man what's up with all the shite you're getting? Ridiculous. God forbid you post something of interest that you have personal knowledge of. The first news stories were two sentences with absolutely no facts or specifics.

I'd give these jackhole a collective settle down Beavis.

Didn't see this picture posted yet. The passenger area seems relatively intact, but I guess if you belly flop at 100 mph it's gonna be tough to survive that.

Also, looking at the picture again I'm curious how it landed in that spot without damaging the fence on this side of it or the building on the other side.

At the crash site.

Why’d it crash?

Insufficient altitude.

I have seen a video from somebody’s security camera. He came in flat and pancaked down HARD. Absolutely no way to survive that. Pretty much confirmed the stall/spin assumption the ADSB data showed.

Flight instructor friend of mine who flies in and out of DWH texted me even the best pilots can't fly with enough fuel. Don't think he would make the comment without some intel.

Here is the link to the news story with the doorbell footage. There’s audio included and it sounds like the engine(s) are powered on Unk if they were making power

that wasn't what I was expecting to see. How does a plane get into a flat decent tailspin like that?

I didn't know them. I couldn't get in touch with my group immediately and feared the worst.

If the audio on that video is accurate there is at least one engine making power.

Another scenario is they forgot to swap tanks and engines died. They put the plane on glide to trouble shoot and figured the problem out and swapped tanks to restart. One engine making power in a low energy twin can be dangerous if not handled correctly. Can induce a flat spin with adverse yaw and without considerable altitude almost impossible to recover.
