The WH presser has been awful I'll leave it at that. Not a time for politics.

Trump administration is blaming DEI in this presser.

He got rid of the entire Aviation Security Advisory Committee, froze hiring of Air Traffic Controllers and got rid of the FAA security officers…and still wants to pass the buck

I understand that...you must have thin skin about this....what caught my attention was the "continuity of government" part. This must be a specific route taken...

My understanding from my Ft Knox peeps who fly helicopters quite a bit in training around the Louisville Metro area, those are usually scheduled ahead of time.

Hes been in office 10 days, nothing he's done contributed to this crash. Use common sense for once dude.

Do you really think in 10 days the FAA could have hired and trained new controllers?

Audio of helo acknowledging ATC and calling separation.
thanks...the helo acknowledging ATC is not in the youtube video on page 1...

this is so terrible...these helo routes by the airport are likely so routine that it didn't dawn on the ATC to sound the alarms when they got close.

just weird that the helo is flying that close to the airport and can't detect the incoming plane...

Right before they had their big meeting on keeping helicopters from ramming planes?

froze hiring of Air Traffic Controllers

I don't see how a guy hired a week ago would have helped here.

and got rid of the FAA security officers

Which one of those would have stopped this?

Explain how that contributed to this crash.

Yeah, how dare he pass the buck. He's already been president for 10 days. How much time does he need to completely change the FAA? I'd say a week and half should be plenty.

They detected it, they knew it was in the area. The pilot for the helicopter said he had the aircraft in sight.

Either he misjudged his speed/altitude or he had another plane in sight and thought it was the one they hit.

I can’t imagine being someone who always defends him - even when he’s acting like a petty douchebag as opposed to the President of the United States.

i think in this instance, its not a dig but an actual compliment on how well versed he is in these findings. like someone nerding out on something.

I'll just say this. If he's bringing up any of this stuff, there's likely a reason for it. And I think it will come out as time goes on.

I’m over giving him the benefit of the doubt. He’s blaming Biden and DEI to avoid responsibility for it happening during his presidency.

Spare me the “it’s only been ten days!” excuse.

Yeah “I’ve got common sense.” He’s throwing shite against the wall and hoping that it sticks.
