Trump Hotel downtown still has better odds of being built than this.

This has massive fail written all over it.

Now if they built a combined TopGolf/Dave and Busters there...

They should've put the damn prison there instead of the original location along the expressway where everyone can see it... Stupid city...

I always wonder about the angle in things like this.

He can't think that this has a reasonable chance of success but, on the other hand, he obviously thinks he has a way of extracting some money out of this so I wonder what the real move here is going to be.

Business class taught me that you want to locate your business right in the middle of your target demographic. If you can't locate it there then you better have a product that DRAWS your demo to you.

This park better be poppin if it wants to bring people to NOLA East.

He chose wisely.

They also need to price it right so it's not too expensive, but prices out the riff raff in that area.

New Orleans, a major national and international tourist destination, is currently without a major theme or water park.

I don't think we need one. Just let it die.

What is the closest roller coaster to new orleans, besides the little on at Blue Bayou? Dallas? Atlanta? Since Astroworld closed i dont think there is anything within 8 hours.

You would think some kind of six flags park would do ok in south louisiana but it would probably need to be somewhere close to the french quarter or right off of I-12. Nobody wants to go to New Orleans East.

No he did not. Amazing how this rumor will never die. Walt had a fascination with the city and culture of the area, but it wouldn't have been considered.

this sounds like a great once in a generation investment opportunity.

Plans also include the building of an enclosed, international shopping center, twice the size of the Superdome in New Orleans. It will be similar to an indoor version of Epcot where the stalls are leased to countries instead of stores.

The best part. Certain to make money.

You don't price riff raff out of theme parks. They always find the money.

This should tell you something. If a city the size of Houston couldn't make a theme park viable, what makes someone think New Orleans could make it succeed?

So there are competing myths between livingston parish and new orleans? Impressive.

It ain't going to happen,
What will cause the OT mouth breathers to shut a brick is when they see how nice the redeveloped World Trade Center area is going to be. The new airport will kick arse too.
